The Shamrock Irish lost against the Clarendon Broncos back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Shamrock was beaten by Clarendon 58-6. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Shamrock in their matchups with Clarendon: they've now lost six in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Shamrock lost, one person who can't be blamed is Terry Menefield. Despite the final result, he picked up 162 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Shamrock has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Clarendon, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Shamrock will look to defend their home field on Friday against Memphis at 7:00 p.m. Memphis comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Clarendon, they will head out on the road to face off against Wellington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wellington is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
