Ponderosa is 8-1 against Lincoln since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Ponderosa Bruins will be playing at home against the Lincoln Fighting Zebras at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Ponderosa is ranked 303rd, while Lincoln is ranked 326th).
Ponderosa suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of West Park by a score of 51-49.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Marco Moorman, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Keenan Patterson, who scored four points along with 14 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lincoln's and Oakmont's contest on Tuesday was close at halftime, but Lincoln turned on the heat in the second half with 46 points. Everything went Lincoln's way against Oakmont as Lincoln made off with a 83-58 win. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Ponderosa's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Lincoln, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Ponderosa was able to grind out a solid win over Lincoln when the teams last played back in February of 2023, winning 72-65. Does Ponderosa have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lincoln turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
