Mayflower were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They took the contest and then some with a 53-8 win on Friday over Marshall. The success made it back-to-back wins for Mayflower.
Mayflower's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 53 points in the first half. Meanwhile, Marshall couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 53-0 heading into the break. Mayflower were outperformed in the second half 0-8 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the win. The match pushed Marshall down to 0-2 and pulled Mayflower up to the reverse at 2-0.
Mayflower will be staying on the road next week, facing off against Parkers Chapel. As for Marshall, they will face off against Quitman.
