Tri-Valley recap November 13, 2013
Williams Valley extended the longest winning streak in Tri-Valley this week by beating Pius X, 18-13. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Newport lost to Berks Catholic 59-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Williams Valley's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Stephen Sedesse threw for 132 and 2 touchdowns and Cody Miller had 83 yards receiving. On the ground Cole Barnhardt chipped in 195 yards. Barnhardt helped Williams Valley's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 42 yards.
Barnhardt was a passing and rushing force as Tim Savage's team topped the Royals. Barnhardt's key target this week was Miller, who caught 2 passes for 83 yards.
Miller was the best receiver in the league this week as the Vikings bested Pius X. Barnhardt helped Williams Valley's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 42 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Williams Valley's Sedesse and Miller have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Sedesse has thrown for 1,262 yards this season, while Miller has 26 catches for 732 yards. Pine Grove's Ryan Heim leads the league in rushing yards with 1,682.
The Cardinals lost in the closest game of the week to 10-6 Palisades. In the loss.
