The Crisp County Cougars suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They suffered a tough 71-51 defeat at the hands of Carver. While losing is never fun, Crisp County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while Carver is ranked 50th).
Despite the defeat, Crisp County had strong showings from Jaylon Cooper, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and five assists, and Zakariyya Dwight, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cooper has scored all season.
Crisp County has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Carver, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.
