The Ryle Raiders will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Scott Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Ryle unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 65-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Highlands.
Meanwhile, Scott's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. The contest between them and George Rogers Clark wasn't particularly close, with Scott falling 73-57. Scott has not had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite their loss, Scott saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Xarek Sarakatsannis, who scored 12 points, was perhaps the best of all. Connor Griffin was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Ryle's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-7. As for Scott, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Ryle came up short against the Eagles when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 64-60. Will Ryle have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
