Given Archbishop Ryan's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Cardinal O'Hara is ranked 137th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Archbishop Ryan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaden Murray, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Murray has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Darren Williams, who scored 22 points.
Archbishop Ryan is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. As for Cardinal O'Hara, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
Archbishop Ryan will head out on the road to face off against West Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cardinal O'Hara, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against La Salle College at 7:00 p.m. La Salle College has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-4 during that stretch of close contests.
