The Bottineau Braves/Stars will head out on the road to face off against the Devils Lake Firebirds at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bottineau knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Devils Lake likes a good challenge.
Bottineau is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Glenburn on Friday as they made off with a 29-2 win. The Braves/Stars have beaten the Panther the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panther has come to flipping the script.
Kaia Hennings made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base.
In other pitching news, Peyton Robertson looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Bottineau always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .784. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Devils Lake came up short against Shanley on Friday, falling 9-2. The game marked the Firebirds' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Devils Lake saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julia McIvor, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Bottineau's record is now 4-1. As for Devils Lake, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
Devils Lake's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bottineau has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 14.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Devils Lake, though, as they've been averaging 10.3 hits. Given Bottineau's sizable advantage in that area, the Firebirds will need to find a way to close that gap.
