Central Cambria is 0-4 against Hollidaysburg since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Central Cambria suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Chestnut Ridge at home and fell 74-42. While losing is never fun, Central Cambria can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Chestnut Ridge is ranked 66th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Connor Serenko, who scored 18 points along with five steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Grady Snyder, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Central Cambria struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Hollidaysburg stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard last Thursday. Everything went their way against Bellefonte as Hollidaysburg made off with a 64-40 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Hollidaysburg has posted since December 14, 2023.
Central Cambria's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Hollidaysburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Central Cambria, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 64-46 loss to Hollidaysburg in their previous matchup back in January of 2018.
