After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Francis DeSales, the Liberty Union Lions were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hamilton Township and snuck past 47-44. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Liberty Union also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Liberty Union's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Morgan Love led the charge by scoring 16 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Love has scored at least 25% of Liberty Union's points. Another player making a difference was Payton Hochradel, who scored 15 points.
Liberty Union now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hamilton Township, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Union will challenge Bloom-Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hamilton Township is on the road again on Saturday and play against Circleville at 2:30 p.m. on December 9th.
