Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vanguard College Prep). They put the hurt on the Texas School for the Deaf Rangers with a sharp 70-45 victory on Saturday. Vanguard College Prep's win was all the more impressive since the Rangers were averaging only 21.9 points allowed on the season.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Vanguard College Prep, bringing their record for this year to 12-9. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.8 points per game. As for Texas School for the Deaf, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-3.

Vanguard College Prep will head out on the road to face off against Hill Country Christian School of Austin at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Texas School for the Deaf, they will host Round Rock Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
