After flying high against the Tescott Trojans on Friday, the Lakeside Knights came back down to earth. Lakeside was the victim of a tough 45-24 defeat at the hands of Rock Hills on Tuesday. Lakeside lost against Rock Hills in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 76-57 score last time.
Despite the loss, Lakeside still got an impressive performance from Lauren Brummet, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Brummet scored a full 62.5% of Lakeside's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Rock Hills, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Lakeside will be playing in front of their home fans against Thunder Ridge on Friday. As for Rock Hills, they will head out on the road to face off against Stockton on Friday. Stockton will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
