Eisenhower and Aldine are both heading into their Saturday contest this week after losing their previous games. Eisenhower was crushed by Westfield 31 - 3 last week. Meanwhile, Aldine had a rough outing against Dekaney last week, losing 66 - 0.
Eisenhower's game was close at the break (7 - 0), but Westfield took charge in the second half. Even though the blowout was expected (Eisenhower is far behind in the MaxPreps national rankings), the defeat still stung. The loss dropped its record to 3-5.
As for Aldine, with the halftime score sitting at 42 - 0, it just had too much of a disadvantage to overcome in its last match. Throughout the game, it struggled to measure up yardage-wise: the team had 138 yards, while Dekaney posted 420. The defeat brought Aldine down to 0-8.
Neither Eisenhower nor Aldine were very aggressive on the offensive side of the ball last game, so it might be up to the defense to decide this one.
