Make it eight blowout wins for the Queen Anne's County Lions this season. Everything went their way against Cambridge-South Dorchester on Thursday as Queen Anne's County made off with a 56-34 victory. The win was familiar territory for Queen Anne's County who now have nine in a row.
Despite the defeat, Cambridge-South Dorchester had strong showings from LeAsia Todd, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 19 rebounds, and Tejanae Ballin, who scored ten points along with four steals. Todd is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least nine every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Destiny Johnson, who scored five points along with two steals.
Queen Anne's County pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.6 points per game. As for Cambridge-South Dorchester, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Queen Anne's County will be playing at home against the Dragons at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Salisbury will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while the Lions are ranked 52nd). As for Cambridge-South Dorchester, they will head out on the road to take on the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Caroline will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
