Viola had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Shirley Blue Devils as they made off with a 17-3 victory. Considering the Longhorns have won six games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Viola's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Shirley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

Coincidentally, Viola and Shirley will both be playing Concord the next time they take the field. The Blue Devils will head out to face the Pirates at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Longhorns will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
