The Dunmore Bucks will venture away from home to square off against the Western Wayne Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dunmore is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Dunmore barely beat Old Forge the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bucks were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Blue Devils on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Those three RBI gave Grochowski a new career-high. Jimmy Clark also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Western Wayne, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 12-8 victory over Holy Cross on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Western Wayne let Jake Grodack and Damian Glackin run wild. Grodack went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Glackin went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Decandis, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Dunmore has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Western Wayne, their record now sits at 4-5.
Western Wayne's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Dunmore has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Western Wayne, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 strikeouts. Will Dunmore keep running through batters, or will the Wildcats buck the trend?
Dunmore came out on top in a nail-biter against Western Wayne in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 7-6. Will the Bucks repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
