First Academy scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Community Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 53-51. The Lions were up 34-15 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

First Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylan Peacock, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan James, who put up 13 points.

Community Christian Academy was led to victory by Preston Smith and Kylin McDonald. Smith scored 20 points, while McDonald earned 17 points. Beau Moore was another key player, putting up eight points.

First Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13. As for Community Christian Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-5.

First Academy will head out on the road to face off against Colquitt Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Community Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 54-45 defeat against Appling Christian Academy on the 28th.
