Football Recap: Liberty Magnet Piles Up the Points Against White Castle

While Liberty Magnet put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for White Castle. The Patriots took their contest with ease, bagging a 59-0 victory over the Bulldogs. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Liberty Magnet to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brice Preston, who threw for 161 yards and four TDs while completing 88.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 41 yards. Those 161 passing yards gave Preston a new career-high. Liberty Magnet's leading receiver Conner Nairn was Preston's top target yet again, picking up 125 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Liberty Magnet has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 28 points this season. As for White Castle, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Liberty Magnet wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 27-20 loss against Lutcher on the 18th. As for White Castle, they have also already played their next game, a 50-0 defeat against Jeanerette on the 19th.
