The Lake Buena Vista Vipers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They took down Tohopekaliga 77-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Buena Vista to victory, but perhaps none more so than Travis Ligene, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryan Mwangovya, who scored 21 points.
Lake Buena Vista's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-15. As for Tohopekaliga, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-13.
Lake Buena Vista will head out on the road to challenge the Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Boone has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Tohopekaliga, they will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Cloud is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
