Softball Recap: Bradford Has No Trouble Against Eastside

While Bradford put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Eastside. The Bradford Tornadoes blew past the Eastside Rams 16-0. That looming 16-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Tornadoes yet this season.

Kolee Lemire made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Kallie Yowell was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Amber Wynn was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Bradford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The victory made it two in a row for Bradford and bumps their season record up to 4-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Eastside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4-1.

Looking ahead, Bradford will take on Union County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Union County will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Bradford surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eastside, they will square off against Dunnellon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastside has given up an average of 13 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
