The longtime Notre Dame commit isn't headed to Eugene, Oregon. He's headed to Norman, Oklahoma.
Bowen signed with Oklahoma on Thursday, all but putting an end to a rollercoaster recruitment that will go down as one of the wildest in history. Since committing to Notre Dame on New Year’s Day, the five-star safety had taken over a dozen unofficial visits to Oklahoma, and it had long been apparent that one way or another, Bowen’s commitment to the Irish wouldn’t stick.
However, on Dec. 21, he flipped his commitment to Oregon in a bombshell decision that took the entire recruiting world by total surprise. Yet he didn't sign with the Ducks on the first day of the early signing period, and his conversations continued with the Oklahoma staff behind the scenes.
