The Boonville Pioneers will look to defend their home court against the Evansville Reitz Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Boonville has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 14.
Last Thursday, Boonville ended up a good deal behind Heritage Hills and lost 60-42. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Boonville in their matchups with Heritage Hills: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Evansville Reitz didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Jasper on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 46-42 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Evansville Reitz.
Evansville Reitz relied on the efforts of Bailey Hape, who scored 16 points along with five assists, and Kaelyse Mitchell, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Hape continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Norah Miller, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Boonville bumped their record down to 3-18 with that defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road. As for Evansville Reitz, their win bumped their record up to 13-4.
Boonville didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Evansville Reitz when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 41-36 victory.
