The Paris Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Lincoln Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 930 yards in their previous games.
Paris will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven points back in October, then bounced right back against Community on Friday. The Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Braves 52-21. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Braves are ranked 830th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Tyler Heath had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 307 yards and five touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 66 yards and one score. He has become a key player for Paris: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise. Keshawn Roberts was another key player, picking up 152 receiving yards and three TDs.
Meanwhile, Lincoln hadn't done well against Carter recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Tigers came out on top against the Cowboys by a score of 40-28. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
A big part of Lincoln's win came down to the chemistry between Emmanuel Holmes and his top target Okeith Robinson. Holmes threw for 261 yards and a pair of touchdowns while Robinson picked up 128 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those 261 passing yards gave Holmes a new career-high.
One reason for the win was Lincoln's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Leading the way was Desiyah Hutchins with two. Dominic Johnson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Paris' victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
We should be in store for an exciting game as the two teams have no problem gaining yardage. Paris has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 368.9 total yards per game. However, it's not like Lincoln struggles in that department as they've been averaging 407.3 total yards. With a pair of commanding offenses duking it out, the defenses are going to have their work cut out for them.
Everything went Paris' way against Lincoln in their previous matchup back in November of 2021, as Paris made off with a 49-29 victory. In that matchup, the Wildcats amassed a halftime lead of 42-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
