Dock Mennonite had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Delaware County Christian Knights. This was payback for the Pioneers, who suffered a 9-8 loss the last time these two teams met.

Dock Mennonite pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Delaware County Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Dock Mennonite will take on rival Faith Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pioneers 2.7, the Lions 1.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Delaware County Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe Valley Forge Military Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
