The Yorktown Patriots lost to the Herndon Hornets last Monday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. Yorktown strolled past Herndon with points to spare, taking the game 56-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Yorktown.
Andrew Maria continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 11 points. Another player making a difference was Gavin Dougherty, who scored eight points.
Yorktown's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-10. As for Herndon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.
Yorktown will look to defend their home court on Monday against Langley at 7:00 p.m. Langley and Yorktown are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. Herndon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
