Baseball Recap: Timpanogos Wins Going Away Against Provo

Provo typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Timpanogos proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Bulldogs 15-3. The result was nothing new for the Timberwolves, who have now won eight matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Jackson Sotelo, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cooper Hawkes, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Timpanogos always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Provo only posted an OBP of .409.

Timpanogos' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Provo, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.

Timpanogos will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
