Softball Recap: Evart Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Evart came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the McBain Ramblers with a sharp 14-1 victory. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by eight runs or more this season.

Evart pushed their record up to 16-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for McBain, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evart will challenge Ravenna at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for McBain, they will be playing at home against Pine River Area at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
