Latrell Carter Tops All Others This Week
Starting off the list is Pine Forest's Latrell Carter, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Carter rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 65 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 51 yards.
Pine Forest is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. Carter and Pine Forest will take on Triton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Overhills was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Logan Kelly did his best to prevent it. Westover had no answer to Kelly as he picked up two sacks and made 13 total tackles (3.0 for loss). Kelly is becoming a predictor of Overhills' success: when he posts at least four total tackles the team is 2-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
Overhills' defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-4. Kelly and Overhills are taking a road trip to face off against Harnett Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday O'Brian Ward stepped things up a notch to give Triton the 'W'. Nobody could stop Ward as he rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.

Jordan Frink Makes It Two for Overhills
The second Overhills player making an appearance here is Jordan Frink, and for good reason. He picked up two sacks and made eight total tackles (4.0 for loss).
