Irving is 0-3 against Pearce since November of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Irving Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Pearce Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Irving is hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Irving took a serious blow against Richardson, falling 58-12.
Although Irving took the loss, they still got scores from Tre Lewis and Xavier Ybarra.
Meanwhile, Pearce unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They were dealt a 56-29 loss at the hands of Lake Highlands.
The losses dropped Irving to 0-8 and Pearce to 5-3.
Irving was dealt a bruising 45-13 defeat at the hands of Pearce when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can Irving avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
