Baseball Recap: Palmetto Takes a Loss

After flying high against Manatee last Friday, Palmetto came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Parrish Community Bulls by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Landon Henderson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. Chance Schappacher was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Palmetto's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Parrish Community, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

While Palmetto had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
