There's no place like home for Denver East, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Vista PEAK Prep Bison a 6-0 shutout on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for Denver East, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Vista PEAK Prep from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Kate Short led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Denver East pushed their record up to 8-2-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those six matchups. As for Vista PEAK Prep, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Coming up, Denver East will take on George Washington at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Denver East will be up against George Washington's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.45 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Vista PEAK Prep, they will challenge Hinkley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
