AAA District 8 recap Oct. 30, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Shelbyville Central, who took down 139th ranked Lincoln County, 19-15.
Columbia Central led AAA District 8 in scoring this week after putting up 57 points on Franklin County.
Caleb Limbaugh put up the best numbers through the air as the Rebels lost to the Lions. He finished with a total of two completions for 29 yards and one touchdown. Limbaugh's favorite target this week was Chase Luttrell, who caught one pass for 19 yards.
Kevin Galloway was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 94 yards on 16 carries as the Falcons fell to Lawrence County. Teammate Matt Beddingfield added to the ground attack by rushing for 62 yards.
Price was the best wideout in the league this week as the Wildcats fell to the Wildcats. Price racked up four receptions for 70 yards. Caleb Olive helped Tullahoma's passing attack out by catching three balls for 21 yards.
Tullahoma's Justin Brown and Price have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading AAA District 8 in both passing and receiving yards. Brown has thrown for 1601 yards this season, while Price has 39 catches for 576 yards. Franklin County's Layton Wells leads the league in rushing yards with 881.
Lawrence County made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,757 from 5,698. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 29-3 victory over John Olive's team last week.
