The biggest upset of the week belonged to Moundridge, who took down 192nd ranked Moundridge, 42-41. B.J. Glanton ran for 177 yards and caught one passes for two yards in the win.
Trinity was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to first in Heart of America. Earlier in the week, the Celtics defeated Remington 49-6.
Ell-Saline's dynamic duo of Garrett Walker and Kaleb Whitehair proved tough for Sedgwick to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Walker threw for 208 yards and one touchdown and Whitehair had 102 yards receiving. Keegan Hays helped Ell-Saline's passing attack out by catching three balls for 52 yards.
Brylie Ware provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Cardinals beat the Cardinals. He completed 13 passes for 165 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 120 yards. Ware's favorite target this week was Logan Thompson, who caught three passes for 67 yards.
Josh Miller was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 31 carries, he ran for 282 yards as Inman fell to Sedgwick. Tyler Cottam also contributed to the rushing game with 66 yards on the ground.
Cottam made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Inman Teutons bested Marion. The 5-foot-11 junior recorded one fumble.
Jeff Werner's team's Ware and Thompson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Ware has thrown for 1058 yards this season, while Thompson, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 21 catches for 424 yards. Inman's Miller leads the league in rushing yards with 706.
The top two teams in Heart of America will face off this week when first place Trinity takes on second place Sedgwick. Last week, Trinity defeated the Broncos, while the Cardinals bested Terry King's team.
Bennington and the Wildcats played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Bennington eventually emerging with a 42-41 victory. Glanton in the win.
