The Lake Country Lutheran Lightning waltzed into their contest on Monday with 11 straight wins but they left with 12. They took down Columbus 66-48. This was payback for Lake Country Lutheran, who suffered a 71-45 defeat the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Sam Hans, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Will Sivak, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Lake Country Lutheran's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for Columbus, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.
Lake Country Lutheran will be playing at home against the Mariners at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Columbus, they will head out on the road to face off against the Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
