Section 3 Class D - East recap October 8, 2013
Dolgeville scaled the state rankings by moving to 107 from 162 this week, the biggest jump in Section 3 Class D - East. The Blue Devils were able to move up by defeating Frankfort-Schuyler 30-14.
Dolgeville added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Maroon Knights, 30-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for Daniel Zilkowski's team.
Sauquoit Valley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Korey Lewandrowski has thrown for 486 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Ethan Harris has 13 catches for 214 yards.
As it stands, the Blue Devils are in first, while West Canada Valley is in fourth.
Dolgeville made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,984 from 5,925. The improvement was the result of a 30-14 victory over Frankfort-Schuyler last week.
