A Season-Best Effort from Kaiden Reese Leads Los Lunas over West Mesa
Kaiden Reese produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Los Lunas to the win on Friday. Reese rushed for 166 yards on only six carries, and also threw for 98 yards and one TD on only eight passes.
Unfortunately for West Mesa, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Reese. When Reese last faced the Mustangs back in September of 2024, he rushed for 133 yards and one score on only nine carries, and also threw for 125 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Jahleel Lewis Delivers Best Effort of Season
Sandia was led to victory by Jahleel Lewis, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Lewis rushed for 90 yards and two TDs on only ten carries, and also threw for 319 yards and one touchdown.
Unfortunately for Santa Fe, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Lewis. When Lewis last faced the Demons back in September of 2024, he threw for 140 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushed for 48 yards and one score.

Julian Madera Turns in Season-Best Effort
Julian Madera produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Albuquerque to the win on Friday. Madera rushed for 79 yards and two scores on only nine carries, and also threw for 22 yards and one TD.
Albuquerque's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-2. Madera and the Bulldogs will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Los Lunas at 11:00 a.m. on October 4.
