Genesis Prep Academy was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to Timberlake. Genesis Prep Academy has struggled against Timberlake recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Timberlake's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacob Yetter, who scored 17 points. The match was Yetter's third in a row with at least ten points. Nate Dykeman was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds.
Genesis Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Timberlake, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6.
Genesis Prep Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kootenai at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Kootenai comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Timberlake's road trip will continue as they head out to face Rogers at 10:30 a.m. on December 27th. Rogers has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 206 points over their last three contests.
