Marion County has gone 3-0 against Glenwood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Marion County Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Glenwood Gators at 7:00 p.m. Marion County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.9 points per game this season.
While Marion County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They snuck past Columbus with a 43-38 victory on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Marion County can attribute much of their success to Jamaya Crumbley, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds, and Taylor Montgomery, who had five points along with 21 boards and four blocks. That's the most blocks Montgomery has posted since back in January.
Marion County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Glenwood came up short against Pigeon Forge on Saturday and fell 51-41. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Loss or not, Glenwood got some senior leadership from Bobbi Taylor Breazeale and Mimi Johnson. Taylor Breazeale dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds, while Johnson posted 13 points. Those 15 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Taylor Breazeale.
Marion County pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Glenwood, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Marion County has crashing the boards this season, having averaged 44.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Glenwood struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Marion County strolled past Glenwood in their previous matchup back in December of 2019 by a score of 54-39. Will Marion County repeat their success, or does Glenwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
