Meanwhile, Asheville waltzed into their contest Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They secured a 41-36 W over Smoky Mountain.
Among those leading the charge was Jaelyn Jacoby, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Zaryah Tucker, who scored ten points.
Rosman's defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-2. As for Asheville, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Rosman hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 57.7 points per game. It's a different story for Asheville, though, as they've been averaging only 45.6 points per game. The only thing between Rosman and another offensive beatdown is Asheville. Rosman lost to Asheville on the road by a decisive 59-42 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2022.
