After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Roland-Story, the Perry Bluejays were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-40 victory over South Hamilton. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Perry has managed all season.
Perry's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zander Mahler, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Drake Levan was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with four steals.
Perry's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for South Hamilton, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perry will face off against Fort Dodge at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Hamilton on the road again on Thursday and play against South Hardin on January 25th. South Hardin is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
