The Westside Seminoles will head out on the road to face off against the West Laurens Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Westside focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday.

Destiny Spencer was the offensive standout of the match as she dropped a double-double on 13 points and 20 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Frazier, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and six steals.
Meanwhile, West Laurens' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They suffered a rough 68-43 defeat at the hands of Dodge County. While losing is never fun, West Laurens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while Dodge County is ranked 83rd).
Westside's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11. As for West Laurens, they bumped their record down to 7-12 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.
Westside lost to West Laurens on the road by a decisive 58-40 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Westside avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
