Softball Recap: Robinson Has No Trouble Against Spoto

Robinson won against Blake last Thursday with 19 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. Robinson blew past the Spoto Spartans 19-1. The game marked the Knights' most dominant win of the season.

The team relied heavily on Dalia 'Mae' Campbell, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella 'Bella' Villanti, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Campbell wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Robinson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's a new trend for Robinson: they were averaging 5.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.2.

The victory (which was Robinson's third in a row) raised their record to 5-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Spoto, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Looking ahead, Robinson will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. As for Spoto, they are taking a road trip to take on Plant City at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
