Back at the plate, Mercy McAuley got a massive performance out of Olivia Olding, who went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave Olding a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Elmer, who went 2-for-4 with four runs, two RBI, and one double.
Mercy McAuley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. They are 6-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Mount Notre Dame was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They fell just short of Ross by a score of 3-1.
Audrey Gildea spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.
At the plate, McKenna Manley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.
