Christian Brothers won against Howell Central  last Thursday with 11  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Wednesday. The Cadets were the clear victors by  an  11-1 margin over the Hazelwood Central Hawks. Considering the Cadets have won nine contests by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Grant Mehrhoff looked comfortable as he  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those  six  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high.
 On the hitting side,  Corde Gage and  Garrison LoCascio did most of the damage at the plate:  Gage  went 1-for-2 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  stolen base, while  LoCascio  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  stolen base. Those  two  runs gave  LoCascio a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brady Rallo, who  went 1-for-2 with three  stolen bases and two  runs.
 Christian Brothers was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .389. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .323 or higher in three consecutive  games.
Christian Brothers' victory bumped their record up to 17-13. As for Hazelwood Central, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.
As of now, neither Christian Brothers nor the Hawks have any future games scheduled.
