The St. Petersburg Green Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Hollins Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Petersburg will be strutting in after a win while Hollins will be coming in after a defeat.
St. Petersburg barely beat Boca Ciega the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Green Devils blew past the Pirates 9-1 on Wednesday. The Green Devils haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Owen Landers looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. St. Petersburg is 2-1 when Landers allows two or fewer hits, but 6-12-1 otherwise.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Garrett Perdek, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season. Brody Nelson was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Hollins' offense. They fell just short of East Lake by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Royals in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.
Riley McDonald put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases.
In other pitching news, Hollins got a good showing from Kyle Morrill, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Morrill has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
Hollins' defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for St. Petersburg, their win bumped their record up to 8-13-1.
St. Petersburg skirted past Hollins 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Green Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
