Trimble extended the longest winning streak in Tri-Valley - Hocking this week by beating Eastern, 39-0. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Southern took down Miller 49-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Eastern's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Joey Scowden has thrown for 776 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Alex Amos has 13 catches for 203 yards. Scowden also leads the league in rushing with 1010 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Trimble takes on Belpre. Phil Faires' team is currently in first, while the Golden Eagles are in sixth.
The Tomcats made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,018 from 6,574. The advance stemmed from a 39-0 victory over the Eagles last week.
