The Plant City Raiders will venture away from home to face off against the Robinson Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Tuesday, Plant City made easy work of Lakeland Christian and carried off a 17-7 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

04/07/25 @ Riverview | 3 |

Rylee Mobley and Kyleigh Meiers did most of the damage at the plate: Mobley fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4, while Meiers got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Meiers a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isabelle Wright, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
They weren't the only one making solid contact: Plant City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Robinson got the win against Tampa Bay Tech on Thursday by a conclusive 17-7.
Jasmine Welch made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Welch was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Robinson got a massive performance out of Isabella 'Bella' Villanti, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Dalia 'Mae' Campbell was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Plant City's record is now 14-6. As for Robinson, their record now sits at 7-10.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Plant City hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .428. However, it's not like Robinson struggles in that department as they've averaged .347. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Plant City came out on top in a nail-biter against Robinson in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
