Payton Rogers was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and five unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, Teya McDaniel was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Rhiley Beck, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Boulder City's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.4 runs over those games. As for Pahrump Valley, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6.
