Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Benton). They came out on top against the Bryant Hornets by a score of 79-69 on Friday. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 65-50 victory the Hornets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was RJ Young, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 18 boards. Young's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Camarion Bead was another key player, going 10 for 23 on his way to 24 points and seven assists.

Benton's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Bryant, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3.

Benton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-49 victory against Springdale on the 14th. As for Bryant, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-50 defeat against Mills University Studies on the 14th.
