Decatur Central is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Harrison is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Decatur Central Hawks will take on the Harrison Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Decatur Central never let their opponents score. They blew past McCutcheon 33-0 on the road. Given Decatur Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 16th, while McCutcheon is ranked 77th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Decatur Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than N'po Dodo, who picked up 97 receiving yards and a touchdown. Dodo's longest reception was for an incredible 70 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Bo Polston, who threw for 274 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Harrison got the win against Plainfield on Friday by a conclusive 39-13.
Cailix Dillon had a dynamite game for Harrison, rushing for 68 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 146 yards and two touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes. Carter Knoy was another key contributor, picking up 110 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Their wins bumped Decatur Central to 8-2 and Harrison to 9-1.
